Daniel flew out of Durango, Colorado to the MTC in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was supposed to leave Wednesday, May, 22nd but the flight from Durango to Dallas was delayed so long he was going to miss the connection in Dallas. Church Travel advised us that they would rather not have him spend the night alone in Dallas to wait for the flight the following night so we brought him home and started over the next day which was Thurs. May 23rd. He was disappointed to miss the first day of getting to know everyone but two good things happened. First, on the flight from Durango to Dallas he talked with the man in the seat next to him for the entire flight. They had a great conversation about the church and Daniel gave him a Pass Along Card. The man was Dan Sheets from Birmingham, Alabama. Who knows but that the delay was just so Elder Lacey could share the Gospel with him. The other good thing was that the airline company felt bad about the delay and bumped Daniel up to business class for the 11 hour flight to Buenos Aires! Since he flew all night, it was great that he got to have a nice bed and amazing food on the plane. He arrived safely Friday morning and got to send us a quick email telling us about his safe arrival.
